Identification and classification of mixed populations of cells into subgroups of healthy, stressed, apoptotic, and necrotic subpopulations can be readily performed using image processing techniques. Morphological differences and/or fluorescence indicators can be exploited to categorize cells and serve as a step toward deeper understanding of cell proliferation and cytotoxicity. Performing this work on a daily basis however, can be tedious, time-consuming, and subject to error unless assisted by image processing tools that are designed for the task.
Attendees will learn how to achieve maximum accuracy and reproducibility by applying a sequence of processing steps to their images and see how to leverage common feature-extraction and measurement tools to categorize, sort, count, and graph their data.
Bring your questions to this live, interactive web-based seminar.
Subjects include:
Performing thresholding operations to separate cells from background
Utilizing spatial and morphological filters to differentiate cell populations
Capturing and presenting viability data
Archival and databasing of images
Provided at no cost, this webinar is sponsored by MAG, the Microimaging Applications Group. MAG is a group of imaging companies who work together to provide an unparalleled range of microimaging solutions to science and industry.
